Son of the late Douglas & Violet (Connor) Costello, Ralph was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. Following formal studies, he graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, Class of 1968. Ralph enjoyed his professional career in real estate development as President of Unique Homes and owner of William Raveis Delta. As a small business owner, Ralph was an active member of his community, notably serving as a member of the Medfield Employers and Merchant Organization. Ralph, having converted to Catholicism later in life, was guided by his faith in his final years, often attending Mass at St. Anne's House in Still River, and as a daily communicant of St. Stephen's Church in Framingham. An avid sports fan, Ralph was a long-time season ticket holder of the Red Sox (before they were any good!) and enjoyed many seasons attending games alongside his son, Jonathan. He also took pleasure in playing golf, reading, and discussing both history and politics.
